VALAKAMPIAI TIMBER HOUSE
This house is located in a unique neighborhood of Vilnius – Valakampiai. The area is interesting because it is very close to the city center, but surrounded by pine forests.
The clients dreamed of naturalness, close interaction with nature. For this reason the choice fell on a real wooden timber house. The preferred style was a mix of light classics, Provence and American style.
Working on the interior of a timber house is extremely interesting and quite complex at the same time. It is important to take into account the technical features – the constant shrinkage of the timber, which affects the furniture and finishing solutions. It is also important to take into account the too active “lines pattern” of the walls and the additional volume of rooms under the pitched roof.
Great attention was given to the overall composition, functionality and choice of materials.
It was also important to think about convenient zoning. For example, the workspace was preferably on the ground floor.
All the furniture was thought out in detail and customized according to the drawings I provided.
An uncommon, fun, developing solution in the children’s room is a mashup composition on the wall in the form of animals.
The project is very warm, cozy, well thought out in detail, satisfying all the demands and needs of the clients. It is surprisingly easy and pleasant to be in it.
